    Sump pump malfunction!
    My sump pump is stuck running and the float works just fine. What else could be the problem?

    Remove arm from float to switch and active switch manually. If no resistance, switch is bad.

    Do as Creahands said. It appears that your switch may be bad. If positive, than you will have to either have it rebuilt or buy new pump.

    If your pump's running that tells me the pump's OK but the switch is hung up in the closed position. Replace the float switch. Good luck, Tom
