East Machias is serviced by Bangor Hydro.

    Review their residential requirements:
    http://www.bhe.com/residential/establish_service.cfm

I could not find any sketches or diagrams on how they would like to see a trailer service installed.

For a good example, take a look at page 112 of CMP's requirement booklet for a sketch of a trailer service:
    http://www.cmpco.com/services/pubs/h...k/handbook.pdf

The minimum size service is 100 amp, per NEC. Depending on the size home and amount of electric appliances, or future loads, a 200 amp may be needed. If you did install a 200 amp, you will be all set for many years.

I have a double wide with all gas appliances, and 100 amp is plenty.

So you need either a 100 or 200 amp meter socket with a circuit breaker built in.

Riser cable is 100 Amp-#2-3 SEU and 200 Amp-#4/0 SEU.

With a breaker at the pole, you need 4 wire cable to feed the panel in the trailer, best to use #4/0 4 wire URD, called trailer cable, from the meter pole to the home.

Conduit is not required, but may be recommended if the path crosses a driveway, or the soil conditions is rocky. Using conduit will help protect the cable, and if it did fail or needs to be replaced, the conduit will help to eliminate trenching the entire path again.

Not sure if this answers your question. Best to contact BHE and the local inspector, if you have one, to determine how you should begin.

I am only familiar with CMP as this is where I work the most.
