Mites crawling all over floor
I have these mites that are all smaller than a pen point. Some are smaller than others and the smaller ones are a light peach; The bigger ones are black and sometimes tan. They are in the kitchen around the windows and spreading outward toward my floor. They are all over the counter tops but I haven't seen them in any of the cupboards. They aren't in any of the food and I haven't noticed any biting. They are extremely fast moving and they hop. They almost remind me of fleas. They aren't on any of my animals. I have sprayed home defense and ammonia all around the house but they just keep coming in. They are now starting to come into the bathroom through the window on the oppisite side of the house. They are crawling at all hours of the day and night and they don't seem to care about walking out in the open because they are all over the grout on my tiles spaning about 10ft by 10ft.
I will try to get photos

This time of year clover mites are active. Do they leave a red stain when crushed?

I have considered clover, springtails and fleas and mites. They don't leave a stain and they look like mites but move like fleas... Im so confused!! Nothing kills them!

Is there any mulch or pinestraw outside those windows? Several beetle species make their nests in decaying vegetable matter and eggs hatch in the Spring. Often turning the mulch over will disrupt their habitat.

There isn't anything below the window except a few tiny plants... I have a bird nest on the other side of the house but I don't think they are bird mites. Interesting enough, I sprayed flea spray on them and they all seemed to run away and die from it but the insect spray I sprayed did nothing. They aren't fleas though.

I have very small mites all over one piece of my tile I can sweep them up and they come back. I spray them but that don't help it just come back up from the tile.

If you only find them on one particular piece of flooring they are either entering from under that piece or are attracted specifically to it. Tile normally doesn't hold many attractive qualities for animal life so I would consider having that piece pulled up to see if there's a hole or crack under that tile that you can seal to keep these things out.

Our grand daughter is 6 months and 3 weeks and does not crawl or even try. What she does is lay on her back and arch her back and scoot on the top of her head. It looks painful. Has any one seen this with their child? If so, how long before they got the idea to crawl?
