    Moped troubleshooting
My son has a new moped, around 200 miles only. He turns it on, engine sounds fine, he pulls the throttle then it kills the engine, any ideas what the problem maybe?:(

Hey, and sorry if I am bringing up an old thread. Anyway it sounds like it could very well need a good carbuerator cleaning. Remove the carb. And then take the bowl off and take out the main and pilot jet. Clean the jets with a torch tip cleaner or the wire from a wire bread bag tie will work as well. Spray the jets and the carb with carb cleaner and reassemble. Hope this helps.
