    When you say "statistics", what exactly are you referring to? When you file an amended tax return to the IRS, the form 1040X is completed by you, you report your figures, any changes, and the form computes any refund you have or balance due as a result of the changes.     You can call the IRS at 1-800-829-1040 eight weeks after mailing to see about the status of your amendment.
