    Mouse Freezes Coming Out of Screensaver
    Whenever the computer comes out of the screen saver mode, the mouse stays frozen in place for about a minute afterward and then it just works perfectly. It's not awful, but it's definitely annoying. The computer runs Windows Vista and this has been happening ever since we got the computer back in November.

    Got computer back from where? What type of mouse is it?

    Sorry. I mean to say we got it 'back' in November for the first time, like 'way back in November'. It's just the standard Gateway mouse that came with the computer. It's not wireless, but it is USB.

    First, talk to Gateway about it, it may be a known issue. Otherwise, I'd investigate whether the proper drivers are installed for the motherboard components and look at any power management options that are enabled, and perhaps try another model of mouse. Since the computer is "new", make Gateway resolve the problem.
