    After my 18 year child graduates from high school do I still have to pay child support if she goes to college in New Jersey

    New Jersey just states that emancipation does not stop at 18 but does not give reasons

    It is totally up to your court order, what does it say on when it ends.

    You should look at your final divorce paperwork settlement agreement. Your child support obligations should be spelled out in great detail as to just when the child support ends. Check that out and you should get your answers if you are divorced.

    This is generally defined by the support agreement. You need to read that. Very often an agreement is written as 18 or when the child finsihes schooling.
