    Hymen breakage
Iam married for 3 years and I am having pain when my husband is trying to put his penis inside my vagina..
Even I can not put my finger inside with out pain..

Iam using a lubricant.. but still doesn't help.My husband is not at all forceful in this matter.
He just went lite on sex.. we do it rare.
I saw my gynic and she tried to do a papsmear but .couldnt do because of my pain and tightness..
She said.. the Hymen didn't break yet and I have to take it seriously and try to break it even though its painful..
She suggested using Tampoons.. she asked me to be very relaxed and use the lubricant during sex.even then it is hurting.. :(

Did any one experience it ? How to get rid of hymen? Do I have to practice inserting any forien object ? Does it help ?
    Please help !

This does not sound like something normal, and I'm surprised at the advice from your gynecologist.

I would get a second opinion.

A GYN told you that? I am seriously confused. I work for three who say that NO GYN would say that.
Get another doctor. The hymen breaks when something is inserted in the vagina. ANYthing. Are you saying you haven't had sex at ALL in 3 years?
    Go to another GYN.

It may be a condition called vaginismus, where the vaginal muscles contract involuntarily, making penetration extremely painful - even one's own finger.

This is most often caused by anxiety and can be treated very effectively.

I echo what all the other posters have said - see another doctor!

If your Hyman was really much thicker than normal a real Gynocologist could have remidied that in a moment once and for all. I'd find a real doctor and check their credintials. Sounds like the one you went to is no real doctor.

Have you tried using more lubricant?

If you have, whatever you do do not accept "use more lubricant" as an excuse from your doctor!
I had a similar problem and I went to many doctors and specialists and every single one told me to "use more lubricant" I felt like screaming at them that was the first thing I tried and I told them that!
Turns out I had mild vaginismus along with some other problems...

Get a second opinion, and a third and a fourth if you need to!

    Thanks a lot everyone...
The problem is in the beginning its hard to penetrate... once the finger crosses some hard musclue or what ever... its easy and pain free inside...
And using more lubricant helps a bit...

I will defenetly see another doctor... Thanks again..

Perhaps he or she can artificially "break" it with a simple procedure with a scapel. And save you a lot of future discomfort.

I used to have the same problem. It really hurts. But the only way to get rid of it, is to have very forceful sex. Try to drink some painkillers prior to having sex so it won't hurt that much. Mine break accidentally because my boyfriend's penis is big, and it was very sudden it hurted so bad, but after that it was normal.

This does not sound like a hymen problem. At the risk of sounding repetitive, see a different doctor.

I knew a girl that actually had this problem... and it did feel to my finger exactly what she described, and trust me... it doesn't feel normal to have something that tight or taut (as in won't stretch)... its not common but some women do have hymens that would not tear with intercourse. Some need assistance No vaginal opening on a normal mature woman is that tight. And I've slept with enough woman in my life to feel qualified to make that statement. But anyway, she does need a different Gynocologist... and she should specificly explain this to them as well.

Got to spread the rep, Smoothy, but I endorse the suggestion wholeheartedly.
