Loss of hot water pressure in shower
    Hello!
I have recently loss only hot water pressure in my shower. It also seems to take much longer for the water to get hot. I assume this has to do with my hot water tank. I am not the original owner and can not find any product information. Can someone recommend where I start. Is there anything I can do on my own or through the city?

Not necessarily hot water tank. Let me ask you first:
Do you have hot water in the sink, in the same bathroom ?
How about other sinks in your house ?
Also, is it single handle shower faucet ?

    Yes to all three questions.
At first I thought about possible debrie in my shower head but when I go to turn it off (toward the cold) the water perssure is high.
    Suggestions?

Jill: you have pressure balanced faucet. You probably need to replace the cartridge. There is a chance there is debris inside the cartridge or it is malfunctioning from some other reason. You will see once you take it out. If so, clean it and reinstall it. Otherwise: take this cartridge to Home Depot, purchase exactly the same one and reinstall.
