I recently had some electrical wall outlets installed in my home but since the install my TV,my stereo and my theatere system has stop working could these new outlets be the problem

Can be many reasons, but the first thing to check, which is a popular problem, is if the outlets are connected using the push in type wire connections, call QuikWire, Whiz-Wire, Stab in the Back.

One loose or poor connection at one device can leave the remaining ciruit with no power.

These are used by some electricians because they are quick to wire each outlet, as a labor saving method.

Since these are new, and assuming a licensed qualified contractor installed them, the work should be covered by the typical one year warranty on labor and material. Contact the installer to return to trace and repair the problem, at no additional cost.

The company that did the remodel hired in the electric company I will have to find out
Now the outlets do work I now have a lamp plugged into one of the new outlets.

You definitely have a poor connection in one of the outlets.

Shut off he lamp, unplug it, and do not use this circuit until the problem is found and repaired.

You are causing power to get to other outlets by a series situation, and this can cause you more problems.

The remodelling company is the General Contractor, and initially responsible, however, the electrician is ultimatley responsible to correct the problem.

I hope you have proper documentation, such as a contract, with the remodeller.

Has the contractor been paid 100% for the job, or do you still owe retainage?

Was the electrical work permitted and inspected?
