Looking for birth records of my dutch grandmother
    Hi

Looking for birth records of my dutch grandmother. She fled the Netherlands during WW2 to South Africa where she married my Grandfather. I know her full maiden name, birth date (and the city of her birth), hair colour, and height.

This information is all from her South African passport - which also has dates of re-entry into the Netherlands.

I am currently trying to find her official Dutch birth records so that I can apply for Dutch citizenry.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

I don't think your grandparent will qualify you for dutch citizenship. You either have to have had a parent born in the Netherlands, Aruba or Dutch Antilles to apply, have been a resident for at least four years in either of the above or lived in either for a period as a stateless person, that is one who does not belong to any country.

    Regards
