Unused left over cars
Hi, I am wanting to purchase an un-used car but an older model that has been left over at a dealership. I'm thinking it might be cheaper to buy a new car that's a 08 or 07 model instead of a 09 or '10.
Is there any way to search for these left over cars online instead of going into specific dealerships?

Hi again, mimi888!
Are you looking to purchase a car near to where you'll be re-locating?
Thanks!

Where is the approximate location to where you'll be moving, please, if you don't mind my asking?
Thanks!

I think you should be able to Google the area (individual town names) and car makes to find dealers, and then click onto each dealer to check inventory. I did that to find my Neon several years ago.
Here's one Parsippany Honda dealer (shows pre-owned vehicles) --

I want non-preowned. I've done a few searches through different dealerships online but no one seems to list left over inventory.
I called up a couple of dealerships too and they seemed hesitant to tell me about the left-over inventory. One dealer at first told me they had NONE but after asking me some questions and finding out about my budget he changed his answer and told me that he did in fact have left-over inventory.

Is there a particular reason that you're wanting cars that haven't been previously owned? Lots of people buy a new car every year and trade in their old one.
There's some really great, used cars out there! Some of which are there because of the reason that I mentioned above.
Thanks!

Many people buy new cars every year to just trade it in the next year for no apparent reason? That doesn't seem right to me.. why go through all that hassle?
When I think pre-owned cars that have been traded in that's a red flag to me that maybe there was something wrong with the car maybe.. I could be totally wrong..

Yes, although it seems not the wisest thing to do, many people do trade in their vehicles that they've driven for a year for a new car.
Someone I taught with and know personally would do that every year. There was nothing wrong with her cars that she traded in.
I have heard that trading in for a new car every year isn't the wisest thing that someone can do from a financial standpoint.
Thanks!

I know people who do this -- to get that new car smell, the newest gadgets, a different style from last year ("Let's try a Hummer this year, dear"), they like the new colors -- and usually these people have a few bucks in their wallet and can pay cash for a new car.
