    Brother Sewing Machine Japan
I have a vintage Brother Sewing Machine in the carrying case that was manufactured by the Nippon Sewing Machine MFG Co.LTD in Nagoya, Japan. It is black with detailed gold etching. #A366402. On the Sewing Motor it says:
    100/110 volts 0.9 AMPS
    50 - 60 Cycles
    No. 104478
    Brother Sewing Machine
    REG"D TRADE MARK
It also has the original oil can applicator

I would like to find out more about its history, when it was made and what it is worth today

    You could start by contacting

    Brother Sewing Machines - Welcome

And see where that might take you.

I saw that suggestion for another brother sewing machine question but it goes to a site which has no info about the model. The site says it is not associated with the Brother Sewing Machine company and provides another link but there's no info there either.

    Thanks for the suggestion though!

Any other ideas? Can't believe nothing comes up on search engines.
