Troy Bilt 6.5 HP B&S Mulching Mower
I have had a tough time keeping the mower running. For the past couple of weeks, when I started it, it raced then would eventually idle down. Now, it turns over but won't remain running. I cleaned the air filter, changed the gas and cleaned out the carb.

HELP!! The grass grows fast in Florida!! LOL

Cleaned the air filter? This should be a paper, no cleaning to it, replace it...

As for the carb, tell me exactly how? A good rebuild is getting all the gaskets for it, tear it apart, soak it in carb cleaner for a few hours and blowing all holes out good with compressed air..
Has the mower hit anything (well by that, not the blade but maybe something bumped the front of the engine?)

Was it blown out though? Carb dip doesn't remove a clog unless its just gummy gas...
