My deceased sisters ex lost his right does he still have to pay child support
My sister was killed by a drunk driver after 3 long years of a custody battle, we finally got to bring them home. My niece was only 1 1/2 years old and my nephew was 13 days, they were in the accident with them. My mother gained rights of both the children and they have been home for almost 3 years now. I currently and will always have custody of my nephew which had life long injuries from the accident, my niece remains with my mother where she will not separate. My mothers health is really rough right now she has endured was more then her share lately, so she cannot and will never be able to work. Things are hard now, and I was wondering does the father still have the obligations to pay child support? I know that he has another son that he pays 800 a month for, but won't send them even a card once a year. I don't know if it is right sense he's not allowed contact with them but I cannot work right now neither can my mother is it wrong to assume he should pay child support, and do I have the right to fill for it. His rights were taken for one he's a dead beat, but also because of his past. He served prison time for allegedly child molestation. He has told us a different story, but I found that he was charged with gross sexually imposition. He said he was 18 and she was 16, but the infor. I found was that he was 22 and the child was under the age of 13. The courts stated when they took his rights that he molested 2 children under the age of six. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME WITH THIS MESS!!
