    Is ti legal to have a fence running zig zag down a yard ? Or up to residential code. Thank you mark. Ps if you know of any web site for info on newyork state code let me know .

    Don't know if its code, but you will lose parts of your yard(little triangles), could put trees in them? Could be tough for a dog, fenced in a yard with no trees, no where to go?

    Try this Laws & Regulations I doubt if you will find your answer after several hours of reading. It is so much easier to just call your local building department tomorrow morning and ask. I doubt that a zig zag will be illegal.
