    Unmarried father
My daughters mother has stop visitation! We were together for about 5 years. Then we split up. My daughter is 3 now, and I used to pick her up from her mothers parents house ( where they live now) every day after work at 12 pm. She would NEVER be feed, and she would be wearing the same close from the day before! I would then give her a bath, change her, comb her hair, & then take her to eat. My family has always expressed their strong dislike of my daughters care in her mothers hands. We were never married and nor she or I have sole custody. My daughters mother is never home, so she leaves our daughter with whom will ever watch her, there are other older children that live their as well and my daughter always scratches or BITE marks on her, but worst of all my ex-brothers in law are always drunk around the children and so is my ex-father in law (who is always caring around his gun and cleaning it messing with it In front of the children including my daughter when he is DRUNK!).
Recently my daughter asked to go to the restroom, I went to take her to the restroom as I would always but she refused to go in! I asked why and she said that she was afraid, then she asked to go upstairs to my parents rest room. I took her and then told my mother. Between the both of us we asked why she was afraid to go into the other restroom. Keep in mind that she is only 3, my daughter then said and I quote "I can't tell you"! I said what do you mean you can't tell me, long story short she said that her grandfather (from her mothers side) left her in the bathroom with the lights of because she potty on her bed. He then took her out of the restroom turned on the lights and hit her! Needles to say you may of already know how I reacted. When her mother came to pick her up at 11pm as she always does, I told her what my daughter had said. After this she has not allowed me to pick up, see, or even talk to my daughter on the phone!

    PLEASE HELP!

Get a lawyer and get an emergency custody hearing. Like today.

And call the police. Child endangerment is no joke.

stevetcg is right. You've got to get your daughter out of there and the only way you can is with the courts.

Custody and visitation should have been established through the courts from the beginning. You should have never turned her back over to the mother after she told you this. You should have immediately called children's services.

This is what you need to do now. Call children's service, detail all you know about the home environment and ask that she be placed in your custody pending a hearing.
