Search for birth parents in Hawaii
I was adopted in Oahu, Hawaii. My birthdate is May 11, 1963. My name is Ronald L Tatum. My adoptive parents were in the Army ( Howard and Bertha Tatum) . I am trying to find my birth mother. The laws in Hawaii are very difficult. My question is what should be my first steps in locating my birth mother?

    1. Ask your adoptive parents about ANY and ALL information they can give you.
    2. contact the adoption agency and ask to leave a letter with your contact information in it in case your birthparents are looking
    3. Do the same at the courthouse in the county you were born/adopted in.
    4. Register on reunion websites, such as ISSR, adoption.org and adoption.com
    5. If you have information such as her name and birth date, you can look into hiring a private detective to search.
