Schedule NR- Exemption for 2 states?
    Hi All
I moved from SCc->AL. I am a partial resident of AL.

I was a student in SC and now working on OPT in AL.

Till last year, I got the 5450+3500=8950 itemized deductions when I filed the SC1040 and SC -Schedule-NR.

This year I am confused whether I will claim itemized deduction in both the states or will I get that in only one state. Also which state?

    Please help me. Thanks.

You will file as part-year resident for both Alabama and South Carolina.

Your personal exemption and deductions will be prorated between the two states.
