    Windows Media Player
Can any learned person help me with this problem. I run on Windows XP Pro with service pack 3 and Media Player 11. I have ripped and stored a number of discs but when it comes to synching on to my Sony Mp3 it can take half an hour just to download one cd, surely this is not right!
I think it may be that the port I have connected my player to is only running on usb1 instead of 2 but I do not know how to determine this. I installed a three port usb 2 into the rear of my tower sometime ago but how do I check to see if it's performing properly?
If anyone can sort out this mess for me I would be very grateful.
    Regards the struggling one:confused:

No idea, it was built by a friend of mine some time ago but since then in the last 18 months it has had, a new mother board, double disc drive and basically been updated throughout. It runs fine apart from not always recognising the walkman when I plug it in and also the length of time it takes to down load music on to it, which until recently was no problem. Any ideas?

If its got a new motherboard and the USB ports are tied to the mb, then its probably USB 2.0 If you are downloading MP3 they should go fairly quickly.
