Landlord not providing adequate living conditions.
For the past month, I have been fighting with my apartment complex over our hot water.

They have been to my apartment 5 or 6 times, to fuss with it. Every time, it works for a few days and then it stops working. They have replaced our breakers twice. Twice now, I have been promised by maintenance that they were going to order a new hot water heater and get it installed. And twice, they have come by, flipped the breaker or changed the heating element, and said it was fine.

They've changed the heating element twice. The breakers twice. Once, they came out and saw that we had hot water, and just left without doing anything! I am at my wits end. I'm worried about an electrical fire if we keep having issues with our breaker, and I hate the fact that I get up at 6 to go to work, and don't have hot water!

My question is this - what can I do now? I love my apartment (nice hardwood floors, they don't mind us having our dogs) but I am at my wits end. I live in Oklahoma. At what point is it acceptable for me to withhold rent or break my lease? We are going on a month of fighting with hot water.

    Thank you in Advance!

I'm in Minnesota. I'm not sure if the same rules apply. Here, you can set up an escrow account.

It appears they are trying to fix it,
And what is the date for a new heater ?

They seem to be trying to work on the issue,
