Replacing Shower With Tub
Hello All,
I am a newbie here, apologies in advance if I have nt provided enough details. I am interested in replacing my shower with a bathtub. My home is a little over a year old and I wiuld like to install a tub, preferably a round tub with jets. Can anyone tell me or direct me to information that details what needs to be done? To make this a little more challenging, my shower is small and a standard tub would not fit. The tub would need to be turned at a different angle in order to fit properly and the toilet may need to be moved. Thank you in advance for your assistance |

The main issue is going to be finding the tub that will fit your space. If by a round tub with jets you mean a whirlpool or jacuzzi type, they have a pump and blower mounted underneath that will have to be considered in the overall dimensions. Once you determine it will fit then it's simply a matter of framing it in and yes the drain and supply lines will have to be moved to the new location.
