Hi everyone I'm quite confused and would love some feedback. I've been usually very regular my whole life and never on birth control. After marrying my high school sweetheart we've been trying to conceive for about 6 months now. My last period was on March 20th, and I haven't gotten mine yet or had any spotting or signs of my period coming! I can only pray that I'm pregnant but I took one test about 4 days after I was late and.. negative. Then I took another one 2 days ago and that was negative as well. Has anyone ever gotten negative results and were in fact pregnant? If so, how soon after you were late did you receive positive results? I don't have any of the usual symptoms but I've never been pregnant so idont know. THe only thing is my breasts are sore & I am urinating more often. I called my doctor today and she said to wait it out another week or so to see if I get my period before a blood test and to bring me in to see if there is something else wrong. Im just SO CURIOUS! So if anyone has ANY advice or stories that can make me feel a little better about it! Thanks :)

It happens sometimes... while most will get a positive result as soon as their period is late, some women won't for several weeks.

Do give it another week and see if your period shows up late. Get the blood test at that time if need be... ask about having a quantitative one that will give you a hcg level. You might be skipping a month... that happens once in awhile as well. Good luck!

I had a similar experience as you with very regular cycle, missed period, sore breasts, negative pregnancy test X3. Finally I tested positive about 4 weeks past when my period was due. Now I've got a toddler :)

Thanks. I HOPE that is the case.. we've been trying for so long now and every month there it came. But I guess all I can do is wait.. I'm going to test again maybe on Wednesday. And I'm also calling my doctor that day to try and get in before the week is up :)
