Why so hard?
I know that if a guy wants to see me he would make time for me... This is my second post about this guy that I was seeing... The very last time that I hung out with him... I was at his place, I was washing dishes and I took off my ring on the counter... He texted me and said "hey baby, you left your ring here" afterwards... Then, things suddenly changed and he decided he is too "busy" to do anything with me... So, we stop talking and seeing each other for a month already... I called and asked if I could get my ring back three weeks ago, he said it wasn't a good idea that day and we're going to hang out later, so don't worry about it for now... and since he said he's "busy", I don't want to be annoying and keep on calling/texting/emailing... I posted a question on here and took some of the suggestions that people have given me.
So Yesterday, I called him again and told him I was going to stop by and pick up the ring.(I told myself not to drag things and just get it over with.) He said he was going to deal with some business over at my side of town, and instead of me dropping by, maybe he can just drop it off at my apartment around 8pm. Though, I told him I was already on my way to get there in half an hour, he said it might not be a good idea. So I waited until 10:30pm and he finally called and said that he is not going to make it that night. So I suggested maybe I could stop by in the next couple of days real quick and get it back... but he said he doesn't see the point for me to go all the way to the other side of town and he can drop it off at my apartment whenever later... then he brushed it off and said he is doing laundry and would call me back later... and never did.
He admits that he has the ring. Why is it so hard to make an arrangements for a quick five minutes meeting?

Hmm... perhaps something happened to said ring, and he's trying to figure out a way to "undo" such happening?

Just ask him to put it in an envelope, in his letterbox, and pick it up.
If it still exists of course.

You will get your ring back if you meet him in a public spot. He is doing this for a variety of reasons. It all boils down to the fact he doesn't respect you. I would advise not wasting any more time or thoughts on him. Get your ring back, kindly thank him and go on with your life. There are so many more men out there that are willing to pay more attention to you and give you the respect you deserve.

I think it's better to ask him to put it in a enveloppe and then mail it to you. That way you don't have to confront him.
People like that are such a pain, they don't stop procrastinating. And it's so difficult to believe anything he says anymore.
If he was into you before, he's clearly not into you now. You need to get your ring asap and stay away from him.

It's getting hard because he said he's "too busy" to go the post office to mail it during the day, and said if he could spare time for the post office, he would just drop it off at my apartment... Then, I asked if I can just pick it up from his apartment and asked if I can just get it from his letterbox, and he replied "don't think that's a good idea, coz I won't be home." I didn't really get it...
This is why I was going to go over to his place the other day to get it and stop waiting around...
This is such a pain

That's just an excuse. No one is busy 24 hours a day. He just has to go buy some stamps, put the ring in an envelope and then put it in a mailbox.
He could easily ask someone close to him to do it for him.
He could easily ask someone close to him to bring the ring to you.
You could ask someone else to go pick it up for you.
All these excuses are just so irrelevant.

You could show up at his work, but that might be a tad awkward. It could lead to a bit of unnecessary drama. On the other hand it is your property you seek to return. I would keep pursing it until the ring is back and then forget him instantly. He is definitely not the type to waste any more time on.

So last night I called him at the time that I know he would be done with work to tell him that I am going to stop by, but then he said he has to rearrange his place and it wasn't a good timing, and would call me back later... so, I assumed he wasn't going to call again, but then, he called back this time after mid night and he talked for a little over an hours about how busy he is on the phone with me... He kept saying he's going to drop by my apartment next week, and at the same time, I kept telling him that he doesn't have to do that (because I think he'll just keep looking for excuse or not going to call back again), I kept telling him to give me less than 5 min. whenever he's home and I'll come get it, he replied, "if this is what you want to do..." But then, the conversation cycle back to how busy he is and he could stop by later, whenever I brought up that it's okay for me to go over the other side of town... sigh...

I felt like showing up at hs work is too much
1. awkward
2. he might not have time to talk to me
3. don't think he'll carry my ring with him every day

It does sound like something happened to the ring...
How about just showing up at his house when you know that he'll be there.. maybe bring a friend with you (lol not a threatening friend). And then demand the ring back, thank him, delete his number and forget about the joker.
If I were in your situation I would be so frustrated by not.. and pissed off. So all my sympathies to you!

I defiantely wouldn't have let it go on this long.
I would be doing what roxypox said and just showing up at his house and demanding it back.
If not then next time you call you could always threaten to call the authorities... I know there isn't anything they can do about it as it was you that left the ring there but it might give him a kick up the butt and tell you the truth about what has happened to it!
Honeslty, I think he has lost it.

It seems like this guy is playing games with you. He could be in another relationship by now and has no time to be respectful or considerate of you or your property. Depending on the value of the ring, you might want to take legal action to get it back. I would start gathering all information where he admits he has your ring.

Good grief people, listen to yourselves... you are all making this about HIS convenience...
Annababy, you left a personal article at someone's house... just go to his door, when you know he is home, knock, and demand your ring, even if you have to yell it through his door... tell him you are NOT leaving until you get it, or you will call the police... if you try to get it when he is at work, he will just say it is at home. Think of this like leaving a sweater at your friend's house... don't be afraid, IT'S YOURS! Just go get it... and if you need a little encouragement, call your local police dept, explain what you are about to do, and they may even accompany you... YOU HAVE RIGHTS DARLING!

If you know the aproxamate time he get's off work then don't even call him. Just show up at his house and ask for the ring back.
