    As far as I'm concerned, nothing. Books use both names and teach the same thing, and classes use both names and teach the same things. For example:
    Introduction to Managerial Accounting|Free Cost and Management Accounting Articles-Concepts & Help|Garrison|Noreen

    Although I have seen some texts that were called things like "Financial Management," which seem to be more concerned with budgeting, financial analysis, capital budgeting, etc. and perhaps a bit less into product costing, variances, cost-volume-profit and the like.
