    Want to see my daughters
I haven't seen my daughters in 8yrs, I did have joint legal and joint physical custody of my girls also was paying chid support and still am. One day I went for a visitation and they had moved I have been writing to them through the child support office for several years with no response I have hired several private invests with no luck. I recently found out where they are living and had contact with my ex wife she said it has been too long and they do not wish to have anything to do with me but that she enjoys the childsupport. What can I do? Lawyers are so expensive and I have a court order stating that I have visitations and that I pay child support I DO MY PART WHY can't I SEE THEM?? Where do I start?

You go to Family Court and require that the court enforce the visitation order. You should have done this when she disappeared. You should have also had her charged with parental kidnapping.

After 8 years, I'm not sure what a court will do. The fact that you made an effort to keep in contact will help you. You will also be helped by the fact that the mother broke the law and violated a court order. I THINK they will require that you be given, at least supervised visits so you can try to get to know your daughters again. But the only way you will get things done is by going to court to get the visitation order enforced.

Good luck and keep us posted.

BTW, since you have two Family Law issues (the adoption of your stepson and this one), I would really recommend that you retain an attorney to deal with them. A local attorney who knows the local courts can be invaluable in cases like this.
