    Sump pump bang
    Just replaced a sump pump in my basement. Everything works well,except: when the pump shuts down the pump makes a banging noise for about 30 seconds. I am using a check valve with the pump. Thanks. aces

    Noise is vibration. Feel around where the "thump" feels the strongest. My bet's on the check valve. Good luck, Tom
