Be patient, and do something that allows you to stop thinking of her. Like activities, and friends that you enjoy.
When your having a good time in your own life, she will slowly fade from your mind.

Tal is right, just try and find something to keep her off your mind. I play guitar for example, and it's kind of my escape from stuff like this. Keep busy and let time take its course.

You are cheating yourself from a life of happiness and the possibility of meeting someone who can truly be there for you.
It is not easy to let go but with work it can be done.
Concentrate on making your life rewarding without her in it.

When thoughts of her enter your mind immediately think of something else.
Think of your mind as being a TV and your in charge of the remote. When your at home don't you change the channel when you don't like what is on? You can do this mentally with your mind.
Do things that you enjoy because like Artlady wrote "your only blocking yourself from finding your happiness". She has someone and you need someone in your life but you wouldn't want to start something with someone when your stuck over someone else.
Be strong and in time your get over he. All it takes is a lot of willpower.

I used all my frustrations from my break up and channeled them into my gym workouts, I went from working out 2-3 days a week to working out everyday for 2 hours and am in the best shape of my life. I took up things that I wanted to do but couldn't because I had to worry about what my ex thought about them.

The more time you spend thinking about her, the less time you have doing other fun things.
Go out and do what you like to do. Play some sports, it really helps.
You might never forget her, but your feelings for her can change and once they can, it will be easier on you.
To help you change your feelings for her, it would be helpful to avoid all possible contact with her so that old feelings won't resurface. There are some helpful no contact rules that:

You can't forget someone, it doesn't happen. If it did, breaking up would be easy. All you can do is move on and move past this, get out there and find hobbies, go out with friends, anything to kill the time.

H there, I think you should believe in yourself, get out and about and meet new people. Acknowledge that she used you and try and watch out for the signs in future but don't become cynical about new women, we're not all the same. It's hard when you love someone and they don't feel the same way but often we can learn more from these experiences than we lose... for example you have a greater understanding of what you'd like from a relationship and I'd guess respect and trust are just two of the qualities. You'll be fine, all in good time. Good luck!

I think that if we could just forget things like this, we would never remember how good it felt in the first place, and we would also be doomed to repeat every single mistake we made. Life is about experience of certain stimulations and events over, and over and over again, until we get it right in our mind. By the way you were treated by her, it does you no good to forget her. Move on, but always remember what you deserve, and she wasn't something that you deserved... no one does.

You will never forget, but you will move on in time.
