    B/S 11 Hp engine will start but die after a few seconds
    What would cause an B/S engine to start but then instantly die after ebuilding the carburetor?

    Likely a less than perfect rebuild is my first thought. It sounds like its starved for fuel, check you needle valve setting to insure the bowl fills and stops filling at the right points.
