There is definitely a presence in the house!
The presence in the house is felt most of the time but seems to be making noises that are heard loud and clear by all who enter are they trying to tell me something?? For instance a tamborine just can't make that sound left unattended!

Get a mini cassette recorder and when you hear the noise begin your recording and ask them questions...

    Who are you?
    Why are you here?
    Why are you upset?

Wait about 30seconds in between each question before asking the next one.
After all is quiet play back the recoorder to see if you picked up any Electronic Voice Phenomenon or "evp".

Sometimes spirits try to communicate by making noises. Maybe your ghost is trying to tell you that it likes the sound of the instrument or used to play it. It doesn't necessarily mean that it's upset about something. Just trying to communicate.

I need A lot more information then the two lines you left to make any kind of assessment on whether your house may be haunted or not.

Well it sounds to me like you have a musician in your house, which obviously means that the spirit that died in your house, if there is one, was once a musician or liked to play the tamborine. It's really nothing I would be afraid of. It doesn't seem like it would want to harm you or your family. But for now, if you are just hearing things, I'm going to have to go with Krazi and you really should try and communicate with this spirit and see what it wants. Also try finding out your house's history which will allow you to figure out who was living in your house before you did and could perhaps answer your questions.

I hope I've at least made you feel better:/

    Questions you could ask:

    "Hello there, my name is_____"

"Why are you hear?" (wait about 10 seconds)

"Is there something you want to discuss?" (wait about 30 seconds)

"It is to my understanding that you like to play the Tamborine. Could you maybe, play it for me?" (wait about 30 seconds for response, if there is no response by then, the spirit is either angered or is not in the room. Leave room immeediately)

"I'm sorry you are upset, but I live here now. Please leave this house. It is time for you to move on" (Simply leave it simple and do not hang around. Let this Spirit know you mean business and that you are not joking around)

****afterwards, playback your recorder and see what information you've picked up on****

As I've commented above. The spirit or spirits in your home aren't necessarily angry or upset, they may just like the tamborine noise, it may even be children playing with it, as children often like to hang around toys and noisy things etc and play with them. It may not be children, so yes I agree why not try asking spirit who it is and why they are here etc. if you can't do it then find someone that can and will.

Spirit sometimes do things like these just to attract attention so people will take notice, or they don't realise they have passed on and remain in the place where they used to live and therefore playing with stuff like this can see you and other people and can't figure out why you can't see them or ignoring them.

Lots of possibilities but not necessarily anything bad! I believe a lot of what people call hauntings, are not hauntings, they are trapped spirits/souls that are still earthbound,so make a lot of noise and do anything to attract attention as they need help.
