    So I multiply A by 2.471 to get H. therefore I would also divide H by 2.471to get A . Thanks sooo much I apprechate it

    Yup

    1 hectare is 1*2.471 acres
    1 acre is 1/2.471 hectares

    Thanks A bunch. I'm working on a course to prepare myself for becoming a conservation officer and I've never had to convert anything to Hectares before.

    You should've posted a new thread. Ok, I'll let go for now...

    You have to say, let the side of the square be x. Then, the diagonal will be x + 2.

    By Pythagoras theorem, the diagonal to the square equals the sum of the square of the two sides of your right angled triangle.

    So,



    Now, just solve, and you'll have x, the side of your square.
