Hi my unit is a Rheem the condenser condenser fan is making a hooming noise like is a turbine not a fan I wounder if the blades or the contactor making that noise the fan that I had was a original from the manifactory but it was stoping went it got to temperature well I replaced it with one that has the same especs but the only diference it has two brown wires one with the white stripe a black and the white. The other motor had a black a orange and a brown my question is was the diference between the wires.

Hi , your old motor had only 1 wire going to a duel capasitor. You will most likely need a new capasitor for this motor as it takes 2 wires

Joshdta, is right you should have bought a new capacitor that matched the motor. But since you didn't and you do have a duel capacitor you wire it the same as the old one was, just do not use the brown wire with the white stripes.
