Im a 22 year female old with bald patches/spots.
Hello everyone & thank you in advance for taking the time out to read about my problem & the advice, it is VERY much appreciated :)
Hi I'm a 22yr old female who recently has gotten out of the army & lost a boyfriend of 7yrs, the past 4 months I have been EXTREMELY stressed out & dealing with all of this at once.. I started noticing my hair loss in the shower when I was getting out of the army 4months ago & noticed huge chucks of my long hair pulling away & really didn't think anything of it. Since my hair is long an tangles easily Ive had it happen before be then it started gettting worse and would not stop falling out, I still didn't think anything of it Until today when I was at the park with my family & my mother noticed the wind blowing my hair and saw the missing patches of hair. I had my sister split my hair apart & it is A HUGE loss of hair in the mid section of my head.. One of my medic buddies told me it could possibly be alopecia but I have no idea... I DO plan on going to see the doctor soon, but will waiting this long have any negative affect on me as well? I'm a little scared to find out what's wrong... :(
Thank you.

If it is patches it very likely could be allopecia
These supplements should help
Biotin (300 mcg per day) and trace minerals,
I am not sure what other supplements would be good. Most likely you have some vitamin and/or mineral deficiency.

A friend had a similar condition as you, and turned out she had a fungus infection, you better see a doctor to make sure.

Ahh I forgot to mention that I'm EXTREMELY susceptible to ringworm I've been getting them for 6yrs straight non stop, and 4months ago I had it on my neck area, so I'm pretty sure now that it spread to my hair & spread there, thanks so much... Do you think when I take the pills my hair will grow back?

You can try rogain. Women use it too, but you would probably have to continue using it to keep the problem away.

My senior year in high school I use to always get bald patches all over my head some times two or three all at once and I would freak out big time. I decided to tell one of the cosmetology teachers at the technical school I was going to and she said that it can be cause by stress... so it sounds to me like that could be what's going on with you. :)

Rogaine won't fix a fungal problem.
They need to get to the root of the problem and correct it.
Tea tree oil may help as well as a natural PH balanced shampoo.

I would say stress can be a major factor.
I am going to suggest something strange, but Aloe can help with this kind of thing. My brother is going bald and using aloe and hair is growing back where it hasn't for awhile!

Bald spots
[ 1 Answers ]
I woke up one morning and noticed I had a bald spot about the size of a nickel in the back of my head. A couple weeks later now three more spots have popped up but they are somewhat smaller than the first one. What could be causing my hair to disappear in spots like this?
