My friend's sister wants to have a sex reassignment surgery but we don't know whethr its correct or not... I just want to know what problems and complications may arise. Also, we would love to know how much it would cost... n the best place to get it done. Plese help us.

I'm not sure what you're asking about when you mean "correct or not"... if she wants it, she wants it. There are problems and complications that arise, of course. She can visit any centers that offer these types of operations and inquire about it.

Costs depends on the location that it's done.

Good luck to her if this is really what she wants, as it's not a simple surgery. She'll need a strict regimen of medication and hormonal supplements prior to the surgery, not to mention recovery.

To add to what Sneezy said, she will most likely have to undergo at least a year of counseling before even being considered for the surgery. This will be an added expense.
