    What is the permissible pressure drop over the test period when air testing sanitary pipework, in mm please

    We test our drainage by filling the stacks with water and letting them set overnight for inspection the next day. For a air test The air pressure must not drop over a ten (10) minute period.. Different areas have different standards. Check with your local Building Department. Good luck, Tom

    Tom said it. We also do gravity water tests on drains/vents and do air tests on gas piping.

    However, for TracPipe or Poly Gas Piping, our Inspectors require these systems to be pressurized at 60psi.
