    Blood clot discharge
It started Dec 2006, my period became so heavy at it lasted about 15 days. I had blood clots.. its scary. I have to change pads every hour or every time I urinate. Then it will be gone... then it will come back again. Yes I went to the emergency room on the first time it happened and they just took several lab tests including pregnancy test but it all came negative... then they just sent me home with me not knowing what is the result. They just said to take bed rest. Even if I rested or not it's the same... blood clots still comes out. Then after few months... back to my scary situation. For the first three days its fine then I even assumed its gone on the 4th day, only to be surprised that its back again... I don't want to think I need a surgery for this. I don't want my ovary removed... I don't want to undergo surgery(again) as I had a C-Section before. The truth is there is no pain, no cramps, I feel a little bit dizzy. With the amount of blood discharging from me everyday I don't know if that is just fine or what. It's giving me paranoid thoughts. Will someone who is undergoing the same thing, share me what you have done... I am so scared my only child is only 3 years old... don't want her to grow without mommy. Thanks.

Lorna have you seen you gynecologist about this, what you are describing does not sound so normal. How big are the clots that you are passing? Are your periods regular?

You should really see your doctor about this cause you need to know if a problem exist. Its best to know than to be living in fear/unknown.

Have had personal experience with unusual bleeding... there can be many reasons for it. Some are very minor and easily taken care of, others may indeed require some surgery.

Some women will just naturally have unusual periods but you want to find out for sure if that is all it is. As lighterrr said, you need to see a gynecologist if it is continuing.

If you are changing pads once an hour, it is time to be concerned. Make an appointment with your OB/GYN to discuss this. You may just need a D&C.

j_9 your right a few years ago I bleed for 6 weeks strait non stop. My docs had no explanation for it. After the bleeding a few months later my periods became very heavy and excruciatingly painful, they actually kept me in bed for the first 2 days. Anyhow to make a long story short I had a D&C and they found a polyp on the posterior of my uterus once it was removed everything was normal again.

Thank you so much for answering and your concern. The size is like a flattened golf ball. My periods are regular though. I would see a gynecologist very soon. Thanks again.
