I'm sure Niki would have found some good chew toys and I have no doubt Starby would have had plenty of water available for her :)

It would be nice to know what is going on because she can't stay alone in the house for much longer :(

That is unfarking believable. Hopefully everything is okay with little Niki... That friend should return the call to let everybody know. Man, that is not good. Wish somebody was around to look in on Niki..

    FRUSTRATING IN DEED.

Yea it is a worrying thought, muddy mud mud posted a pet sitter site on one of their other threads not sure if you've checked it out yet, wish starby lived closer to someone that she trusts or rather hope she had a lot more people she could trust then this wouldn't be as big a problem :(

Reet later guys and gals I'm off, its tea time :)

    It is frustrating.

At this point I'm more worried about Niki then I am Starby. Starby's being cared for, Niki, I'm not sure.

I guess I can't blame her friend for not wanting to call me back, after all, I'm a stranger, she doesn't know me, but still. Obviously I'm a friend of Starby's, so a little courtesy would be nice. I'm actually pretty mad about this.

I feel like a weight has been dumped on me and there's nothing I can do to lift it. It's not like I can march over there, get Niki and take care of all this myself. The one person I've been told I can contact, she's not home or not answering her phone.

    I swear I'm going to have a stroke! :(

As much as I don't like the idea, if you run out of options you could call the humane society in Starbys area and get them to take her for a few days.
It's better than risking her dehydrating.

The pet sitter is a great idea, but Starby doesn't have the money to pay for it, neither do I. Most of those place require payment up front. I'd still need one of her friends to get her cash and go pay for it. If I could get ahold of the friend I wouldn't need the sitter. It's really messed up! :(

This friend is really the only person Starby trusts, but she's awol, mia, not available.

She needs a backup plan in the future. This is crazy. :(

Sadly, here in Canada, the humane society would come get Niki and then place her up for adoption. They'd consider this neglect, even though it isn't.

    It's a tangled web. :(

    Good morning adults ;)

-I'm sure the people on kijiji would be willing to get a payment at the end of the month.

I had to get a sitter for a few weeks one time and ended up paying her at then end of the month-- so maybe it'll work out the same.

Or possibly post an ad on kijiji for a family to foster her while starby is gone- all you need is provide the food and niki's necessities.

I'd still have to okay it with Starby first.

One of the big problems is that she can only call me on the hospital phone until her friend gets there and brings her money so she can get a phone in her room.

The nurses need that phone, so Starby can't call often. I can call and be put on hold for 1/2 and hour hoping they'll let me talk to her. It's really messed up.

I'm really getting upset about this. I just wish I knew what was going on already darnit. :(

    Okay, enough venting. Sorry everyone.

I'll just sit back and wait, hope and bite my nails. I'll let you all know what's going on as soon as I know. :)

Hey Alty, I'm here for a few...

Had a rough day so I'm not going to be on for too long tonight.

Yeah, where's Stringer? He said he had ideas for the next thread. Joe and I were tossing some ideas around but someone else should do it this time and we'll take another turn later.

I've had a rough day too. Still no news on Starby, still not able to get in touch with this so called friend. I'm getting a bit bitter and mad. :(

I also feel like crap physically. I think it's time to go to my doctor, get to the bottom of this crap.

    Sorry, I'm in a pissy mood. :(
