    Networking vista to xp
    Hi you,

    Im in iraq right now and my friend and I want to play a lan game together. I have vista he has xp. When we join the lobby he can see me and what I type but I can't see him at all or anything. I see him in my network map but can't access it because the network path cannot be found.. is there a patch or something I need to dl for me (vista) to see him (xP)?

    What game are you playing/ normaly like if two computers sonect to the same router you should be abel to just have one be the server and the outher one just join the game. Here is a simpel tip have boath compuers connect to the same router thenon the xp one click on start then run- type in cmd.exe and click OK. A black window will open type in ipconfig and press enter look at the ip vertion 4 there should be an ip sonthing like 192.168.xx.xx if it is a wireless connection, it doesent really matter now go to the vista computer and click start- run -cmd.exe
    Ans type in ping (folloed be the ip address of the xp computer) ex. (ping 192.168.1.1) this will tell you weather or not the computers can see each outher on the network. Let me know what game it is and ill let you know different games operate diffrently
