    straight-line method
    A company buys a machine for 50,000 with a salvage value of 5,000. If the machine's useful life is 5 years, calculate the annual depreciation using the straight line method.

    Here is what I got

    50,000- 5,000=45,000

    45,000/5= 9,000 annual depreciation
