    Internet explorer is being blocked and won't open
    I have internet explorer version 8 and run on XP. It was working and now when I click on it it opens for a half a second and then closes.     Any changes that either happened or that you perhaps made to your computer around the time that the problem started; particularly any Software or Hardware that you installed or setup.

    Could always unisntall IE8 through control panel and then see if ie7 will get online, and then always reinstall ie8

    IE 8 is still beta so its hit or miss w/ issues.
    As stated just uninstall it and stick w/ IE7 until IE8 gets the bugs worked out.

    Out of beta but still has issues - if you are using ie8 beta, I would suggest go back to 7 and if really interested in ie8, download latest release
