2001 Honda civic d flashes, check transmision light on
Just replace head gasket on sons 2001 honda civic ex. Test drove it was fine. Parked last night and this morning when to drive and check transmission light stays lit, the d on dash column flashes green and engine revs in drive. What could this be. Replaced head gasket because it would occasionally run hot. Son is active military and getting read to deploy. Money is tight. Just sent $450 for this job.

Attach a code reader to the Data Link Connector, under the dash, and check for codes. Many auto parts stores will do this for free. Also, change the transmission fluid, ideally full-synthetic, every 30,000 miles. |

What are some of the reasons for the check engine light to come on in a 97 honda civic , I have already changed the upper and lower o2 sensors ?
Used to come on after raining and then go out after a few drives. Now, has remained on. Neighbor hooked a diagnostic computer up to it and it didn't relay any codes. Removed the fuse (fuse 7.5) for 10 seconds and light still remains on. Any other suggestions?
My 2001 Civic HX presented a check engine light with OBD 2 Codes P1166 and P1167. Runs normal with the exception of not idling down after acceleration or reving the engine. RPM's come down to 1200-1500 (normal running temp) for up to a second before returning to normanl RPM, approximately 750. ...
My srs dummy light has been on 4 about 2 weeks now, and today check engine light is also on car seems sluggish and once it almost died. Please help also should I not drive it at all?? Thanks helpless in w. sac::confused: :( :eek:
