    Wiring for auger switch
I recently purchase a replacement switch for an electric sewer auger model k-38 I wired it exactly the same way the other one was, however upon connecting the machine to the power source the machine turned automatically on without activating the switch.. does any one have a wiring schematic for wiring the switch.. a blue print will help. The switch is a trigger activating switch with a forward and reverse feature.. please help.

Are there three wires on the switch?

If there are, and you put it back the same way as the old one, and it turns on when you plug it in, there are only two things that can be wrong:

    1. The wires are touching each other
    2. The switch is defective.

If you wire the switch wrong, there are only two possibilities:
    1. The tool will not operate at all
    2. The tool will operate in one direction but not the other

kasper37, what brand is the switch? Using just what information you provided brings up nothing doing a search.

Wiring ceiling fan switch and light switch [ 1 Answers ]

I had to replace the flywheel on my Hunter ceiling fan and I had to remove the light kit that was attached. After I installed the flywheel, I forgot to mark the wires for re-connection. This is an older model fan. There are five wires coming from the fan motor--brown, blue, white, black and...

My explanation is I had a single light & switch at the top of stairs and a single light & switch at the bottom of stairs. I have ran 12-3 wires between switchs but not sure how to wire...
