    Airline Employee (City Taxes)
I am currently an employee of a major airline career. Although I live in Medina Ohio, I work and am based out of Miami Florida.

Recently my husband and I had our city taxes done and we owe $1400.00 in city taxes! I have spoken to my employer numerous times on this issue. I cannot understand why they cannot take my city taxes out of my paycheck. My husband works in Brooklyn Ohio and his city taxes are taken out there.

As an airline employee can my taxes be taken out of the city of Cleveland, or where I work out of, such as Miami Florida? Most people say it is up to your employer if they will take city taxes out of your paycheck. My employer will not take Medina city taxes out of mine. I hate to owe this much at the end of the year.

We have to file our city taxes with CCA, who collects the taxes for the city of Medina.
    Thank you for your time.

Sorry, but yor friends are correct. The employer can be forced to withhold state income taxes for foreign states, but NOT for city income taxes.
