Increased sedimentation rate and fainting, multisymptoms
For the past four months I have had an increasing sedimentation rate - 25 in January and now 58 (April). Painful legs (no sleeping), fainting spells (with injury), left facial pain, B12 deficient. Have had multiple blood tests, ACE, ANA, ANCA, Rheumotoid Factor, SCL-70, Sjogrens ABS, SSA, SSB, CT Chest, Ult Liver, MRI Brain... rules out MS, Lupus, and Rheumatoid Arthritis... have lost 32 lbs in the past 3 months, continue to have black outs and throw up quite frequently... physician has basically shrugged her shoulders!. What's next??

Potassium deficiency? When my father had potassium deficiency he had many similar symptoms.
Thyroid disease?I have thyroid disease and many of your symptoms ring true for that as well.
I'm am not a medical professional so I am only going by my previous experiences and your symptoms.
    I wish you the best.

Thanks for the quick response, ArtLady. No, my thyroid and potassium levels have both been checked and are both fine. For some strange reason my physician just called and wants to do an EGD and a Colonoscopy..? I have no idea what that will accomplish. I feel like a guinea pig right now and am very concerned, especially with the blacking out

I think you need to arm yourself with knowledge and ask very specific questions about what these tests are for and see if perhaps you should be referred to a specialist.

My best advice is to not ever leave your doctors office until you understand fully every aspect of your treatment.

Best of luck,I hope you are well soon.

Well, I have asked and when she called today I told her I wanted to speak in person about the reasoning for the EGD/Colonoscopy... I have been to a Neurologist, Rheumatologist and an Allergy specialist... I'm not really sure where to go next and feel like she is just using me as a pin cushion...
