    F-1 Non-Resident 1042-s income code 16
    I made $900 for attending a conference (not a scholarship) and they took off 30% in taxes. Where do I put this on the 1040nr-ez?

    Code 16 - Compensation for independent personal services.
    Put as Other Income as F1 nonresident you are not subject to SE tax.
