Why is it that you can't use Bosch sparkplug wires and sparkplugs on a 88 honda crx?
Also When I start my car sometimes the starter does not turn my engine on. At first I thought it was the starter but I checked it out and it works pretty good. Is there a relay that might be malfunctioning? Thanks for all your help.

. You can use whatever brand plug you want. However, based on experience, I have found that NGK plugs work much better than other brands in Hondas. It all depends on the degree of performance and reliability you are willing to accept.

I will definitely use NGK. Also when I got the car it came with a cheap battery (Valuecraft) which I know won't last long but I can say it's not the battery because when it does not turn over I pop the hood and I give the starter solonied a direct power feed from the positive terminal from the battery so I know it's charged and ready to go. Any suggestions? Thanks

The ignition switch may be bad. Here's how to replace it:

1. Disconnect negative battery cable.
2. Remove dashboard lower cover and knee bolster.
3. Disconnect 5-P connector from under-dash fuse box and 7-P connector from main wire harness.
4. Remove steering column covers.
5. Insert key and turn it to "0".
6. Remove two screws from switch and replace.
