Small Itchy Sores on Torso
Less than a week ago I got an extremely itchy sore on my collarbone. It started to look like ringworm so I immediately put Lamisol anti-fungal on it. Started to go away and is just itchy now with a slight scab/scar. A few days ago however, I started getting small extremely itchy spots on my torso. Don't know if they are sores or bites. They just itch really badly and I don't want to put the anti-fungal cream on them until I find out what they might be. I am waiting for a doctor's appointment to refer me to dermatologist, but if anyone knows what I can start medicating with that would help me out a lot right now for itch.
Background, I do have two cats, but never had a problem with them and they are both on Revolution. I do not have any bug infestations in my house to include fleas. Right now there are about 11 of these sores on my torso. I have attached pictures, but they are a bit hard to see in them. Thanks! |

Just wanted to answer my own question should anyone have this same issue and want to know what it is as I have finally seen a doctor. The "ringworm" on neck was not a ringworm, but rather a Herald Patch which shows up and resembles ringworm big time. A few days later, the small red spots on torso will appear and itch horribly. It overall condition is called Pityriasis Rosea. They took me off fungus cream and pesticide cause one doc thought it was ringworm and scabies. The second opinion after it didn't go away gave me a steroid shot and I control itching through cortisone cream, antihistamine, and calamine lotion. I hope this may help other people. |
