RCA RTD315W Home Theater System Freezes after its turned on
When I turn on my RCA RTD315W home theater system, it freezes up after the 'welcome'. It doesn't go any farther than that. I can't use the remote or even the buttons on the machine. It won't even turn off unless I unplug it. It's about 1 month old and was working fine one day, then the next... nothing. The user guide is absolutely no help... Can someone help me please?

    Dale,

This is something the average user is unlikely to be able to fix. Luckily yours is still within the warranty period, and you can exchange it for a good one.

Mine did the same thing after 5 months. Now RCA is telling me I have to pay to send it back to them for repair. I just do not agree with that if it were closer to a year then maybe. I also purchsed the 1 year service plan from walmart but it only takes over after the first year.

Same problem first time I plugged hdmi in unit froze and now won't change never even called RCA because I knew they would make you pay and would be useless. Lesson learned you get what you pay for. Was a gift... Thanks a lot RCA. If anyone finds a fix please e-mail or message me [email protected]

My RTD315W is not under warranty.. Is there any chance that you can tell me what part is defective? The "On/Standby" light is on (displaying a blue light), no other features are working. When I press a feature buttom, the blue light goes out. System just isn't working. System haven't been exposed to water/moisture or excessive heat.
