Word document locked, unable to edit
I created a document in a trial version of Word which expired. Unfortunately I need the doc and am unable to edit it. I can't even select and copy it into Wordpad etc. It's rather long so I really don't want to have to retype it. I've tried emailing it to myself to open it on my PC which has Word but that doesn't work. It opens in "wingdings(?)". It was also password protected which I can't remove (not sure if that is relevant). Does anyone know if there's any way around this?

Give the document to someone who has Word, have them open it and extract the text, send it to you in an email.
