    No water to garden tub
We just moved to an older home (1984) and all of the faucets in the house come on except the garden tub. What could be the matter?

No even a dribble? Check to be sure there isn't an interior shut off for winter.

I misunderstood your post and thought we were talking about an outside spigot. Is there an inspection panel on the tub or in a nearby wall?

No, there is no plate or panel near the tub. There is water coming through a spray nozzle in the tub, but no water through the main faucets. Had a home warranty plumber come out and he refused to even trouble shoot it - said he would have to go through the wall of tile and he didn't do that.

Water comes out of the sprayer but not the spout, sounds like the diverter is locked up. Is there a pin or knob you pull to send water to the sprayer rather than the spout? If you have a home warranty they can't refuse to fix something just because it's a tough job. Start calling the boss's number.

Do you have Push diverter, regular handle-type diverter or is the pull knob part of the spout ?

There has to be an access panel. Look better. They make it look so it doesn't disturb the overall look of the tub surround - but I am sure it is there...
